Biscuits That Will Make Your Mouth Drop

This week might just have been my favorite in the Woodlawn kitchen. Mainly because of these spectacular cheddar drop biscuits we made. Now there are two things you should know, 1. I love biscuits and 2. when it comes to food, I’m pretty picky. While we were making these, I was convinced that they would be mediocre and somewhat of a satisfying snack. But boy let me tell you, these cheese wads of floury delight are the best freakin biscuits in the whole galaxy of America! AND even better, the recipe is so easy! You would think for food to be 100% amazing, it would take a lot of work and you would have to fix it up with all these fancy pantcy spices and what not. But not these babies. They’re so good and really simple to make. Check it out!

You’ll need:

1 cup of original Bisquick

1/3 cup milk

1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

apple butter (optional)

If you’re in a hungry mood, I would suggest doubling the recipe 🙂

Here’s how you make it work:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  • In medium bowl, mix Bisquick and cheese and then add milk. Stir with fork until a soft dough forms.

  • On a cookie sheet, drop dough about 2 inches apart. (I recommend using parchment paper on the cookie sheet so they biscuits don’t stick.)

  • Bake 8- 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, stir butter and garlic powder until well mixed.
  • Brush on some of the biscuits while warm. I would try half with the butter and half with some good ol’ apple butter.
  • Enjoy!
